A place we gather, meet & practice Bonsai making and appreciating Suiseki stone.

 

MBSS clubhouse located at the address:  No 95, Jalan Rukun 5, Taman Gembira, 58200 Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. A corner lot of single storey terrace house with it land size of 3454sqft. It has been acquired in year 2003 and owned by all MBSS members through an AGM called decide to amend the society constitution to purchase the clubhouse.

 

Multiple fund-raising campaigns carried out back several years ago such as auctions, charity sales, donation activities, and bonsai parties were organized for the purchase of the lot above. All committee members were involved in the fundraising under the leadership of past President Dr Foo Yong Kong, Dato' Dr. Robert See and including the previous past presidents. Tan Sri Kua Sian Kooi was then the major fund contributor to conclude the purchase.

The overwhelming effort by all committee members has successfully secure the purchase of the clubhouse and thus, we managed to have a roof over for MBSS members for our in-house activities such as weekly Bonsai workshop, regular committee meeting, our secretarial office, storage, and a mini cultivation garden.

 

We have been running the Bonsai beginner workshop weekly, voluntarily lead by our senior members Mr. Tan Cho Wa, Mr. Tan Ping Ching and others on every Sunday from 10am to 12pm. If you are keen to learn about Bonsai and Suiseki, do drop by to visit us and join MBSS big family.
